Goal II : Living the Dream (2007)

Picking up where the first movie ended, Santiago is playing well for Newcastle and he decides to make the move to join Gavin with Real Madrid. Gavin isn't playing well and Santi is soon in the starting line-up. When Santi makes a bad foul and gets tossed with a red card, Santi heads back to the bench.
Santi's life also gets more complicated when a young boy tells him he is his brother. The mother who had abandoned hin years ago is now living in Spain with a new family.
Santi misses a plane to a game, and he fights with his girlfriend, Roz, as he lets things go to his head. he drops his long time agent and friend, Glen Foy, who gave him his start.
Santi gets hurt playing with Gavin outside the house and the coach bans him from going home for Christmas. Santi runs into his brother, Enrique again, and gives him a ride home. Enrique grabs his duffel bag and runs into his house. Enrique's mom says that Santi can't be part of their lives.
Enrique then steals Santi's car and Santi follows in a taxi. When Enrique crashes he gets seriously injured. While at the hospital Santi gets into a fight with a reporter and is hauled off to jail, although he does get to see his mother.
Santi reunites with his mother, but fights with Roz when a picture of him kissing a girl is published in the paper.
In the playoffs Devin is really playing well and Santi is getting back to form. Devin scores on a Beckham cross. Super sub, Santi starts getting some time. They do a good job of mixing clips of real soccer players like Robinho, Ronaldo and and Beckham with footage of the fictional Harris and Santi. Real Madrid gets to the finals of the Champions League against Arsenal FC. With seconds to go Santi draws a foul and team-mate David Beckham bends one in to give real Madrid the win.
Not a bad movie, but not a good one either. The Disneyesque Hollywood ending didn't help too much.
